Margaux Delisle
Former machine-learning lead at a major Canadian bank. Margaux drives company strategy, fundraising and key client relationships. She holds a PhD in computational statistics from Université de Sherbrooke.
Founded in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 2019, Advanced AI Hub was born from a conviction that artificial intelligence should empower every organisation — not just the ones with unlimited budgets and in-house research labs.
Advanced AI Hub started as a two-person consultancy helping local manufacturers automate quality inspections with computer vision. Our co-founders, Margaux Delisle and Karim Ouellet, had spent a combined fifteen years building machine-learning systems at large technology firms before realising that the most exciting problems were happening in mid-market companies that lacked access to cutting-edge tools.
Within the first year, word spread across Quebec's innovation corridor. Retailers asked us to build recommendation engines. Healthcare clinics needed natural language processing to triage patient messages. Financial advisors wanted predictive models for portfolio risk. Each engagement taught us something new and sharpened our platform into the versatile AI software suite it is today.
By 2022, we had grown to a team of thirty-five engineers, data scientists and client strategists. We opened a second office in Montreal and began serving clients across Canada, the northeastern United States and parts of Western Europe. Despite the growth, we have kept the same hands-on, collaborative culture that defined our earliest projects.
These principles guide every line of code we write, every model we deploy and every relationship we build with our clients and community.
We believe AI software should be explainable. Every model we deliver includes documentation, bias assessments and plain-language summaries so stakeholders understand exactly how decisions are made.
We do not just hand over a model and walk away. Our team embeds alongside yours during implementation, transferring knowledge and building internal capability so you are never dependent on us.
We follow a strict internal ethics framework that exceeds current regulatory requirements. Every project undergoes a fairness review before deployment, and we decline engagements that conflict with our principles.
Our engineers dedicate twenty percent of their time to research and experimentation. This culture of curiosity keeps our AI software platform at the frontier and ensures clients benefit from the latest advances in the field.
Key moments that shaped Advanced AI Hub from a small consultancy into a trusted AI software partner for organisations across North America and Europe.
Margaux Delisle and Karim Ouellet launch Advanced AI Hub from a co-working space on Rue King, focusing on computer vision for manufacturing quality control. Our first client, a regional packaging company, reduces defect rates by forty-one percent within three months.
We expand our AI software offering to include natural language processing and conversational AI. A healthcare network in the Eastern Townships becomes our anchor client, deploying our chatbot to triage over twelve thousand patient messages per month.
We close a $4.2 million Series A round led by a Montreal-based venture fund. The capital allows us to triple our engineering team and invest in a proprietary model-management platform that simplifies deployment and monitoring for clients.
A second office opens in Montreal's Mile End neighbourhood. We onboard our first American clients — a fintech startup in Boston and a logistics firm in Vermont — marking the beginning of our cross-border growth strategy.
We release version two of our AI software platform, featuring real-time explainability dashboards, automated bias detection and one-click model rollback. The update earns recognition from the Canadian AI ecosystem as one of the year's most impactful product launches.
Advanced AI Hub signs its first European reseller agreement, bringing our platform to clients in France, Belgium and Switzerland. We also launch a dedicated compliance module for GDPR and the EU AI Act.
